Born in India, Vikash and Vikram, better known as “the Viks,” immigrated in the mid-90s to pursue graduate studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Their first venture together, Etransmedia, was a highly successful digital health software company which they sold to a major hospital network in 2016.
After the sale, the two were ready to pursue new opportunities in the digital health industry.
Levrx was founded in late 2018 with the purpose of tackling the skyrocketing prices of prescription drugs. With prescriptions alone representing over 30 percent of all healthcare costs and the average consumer spending $1,200 out-of-pocket annually, the Viks knew there was a huge need.
With the advantage of START-UP NY and minority-owned business programs, Levrx settled into downtown Troy, NY. Quickly growing, the Levrx team now includes a diverse group of employees representing multiple nationalities and backgrounds who all work every day toward the Levrx vision of improving the healthcare experience, one prescription at a time.
